Welcome to South West Veterinary Nurse Services

Mobile Veterinary Nurse – Pet sitting – Dog walking

Hello! I’m Katie, the founder of South West Veterinary Nurse Services. I offer a mobile service to cater to your pets routine health and training needs. In addition, I offer pet sitting services, equine and livestock care, aquarium care and dog walking.

From an early age, animals have been my life’s passion and work. I am a qualified and registered veterinary nurse with over 24yrs experience in the profession. I have a particular interest and additional training in animal behaviour, nutrition, pet first aid and rehabilitation.

Having owned and worked with a vast variety of animals (including cats, dogs, small furries, horses, goats, poultry, reptiles and fish) and their human companions over the years. My purpose is to provide a caring, friendly and tailored professional service for you and your pet.

As a pet guardian myself, I understand how worrying it can be when we are away from home and leaving the care of our beloved pets to another person. As a qualified veterinary nurse, you can rest assured that your pets are in excellent, trustworthy and caring hands, and will always be treated with the utmost kindness and respect.

I understand just how stressful it can be to visit the vets with your pet, and there are many mobile services that I can carry out for your pet in the comfort and stress-free environment of your own home. Your pets physical and emotional wellbeing are my top priority.

I am happy to discuss your pets needs with you in detail prior to booking in a service or prior to arriving to carry out a service.

I have over 30 years of experience working with, and around horses, and had my own beloved horse for 17yrs. I have also rescued several rabbits over the years and fully understand their unique needs and sensitivities.

I will ensure to send you updates and photos of your pet to give you peace of mind while you are away.

Recent additions to my own household include ex battery chicken rescues, who have stolen our hearts! They have taken to bossing around our rescue cat Henry and are now living their best lives. In the interest of positive training for all, my aquarium fish were trained to swim into a jug to better enable stress free tank cleaning!

Please note that, in accordance with the veterinary surgeons act 1966, I am not able to diagnose illness or injury in your pet. If you suspect your pet is injured or unwell, please contact your veterinary surgeon.

I very much look forward to meeting and working with you and your pets!
